How does the direct messaging system work?

Users are able to message each other without leaving the site — through live direct messages. This is especially useful in Listing pages, where someone starts a conversation with the Listing owner immediately through the new “Direct Message” quick action.

What is the Referral Program?

The referral program is designed to reward advocates for helping grow our community, by bringing in new users to the platform.

What is an Advocate?

Advocates are those that believe in what our platform is offering and would like to spread the word.

What is a Referred Customer?

Referred customers are those that are encouraged by Advocates to check out our platform.

What do I get as an Advocate?

Advocates get $5 credit towards their monthly subscriptions.

As an Advocate, is there a limit to how many referrals I can make?

Nope. The more the merrier!

What do I get as a Referred Customer?

Referred Customers get a $5 store credit that can be put towards anything that our platform has to offer.

Do Referred Customer discounts (i.e. Coupons) expire?

Yes. Referred Customers have 4 weeks to redeem their Coupon(s).

Is there a minimum amount a Referred Customer must spend?

Yes. Referred Customers must spend at least $8 in order to receive their coupon and for the Advocate to also get rewarded.

What products or services qualify as purchases?

Anything that can be purchased on our platform qualifies.

Is there a minimum purchase amount an Advocate needs to hit before they can use their reward?

Yes. Since the reward is $5, Advocates must spend at least $5 to use the reward.

Is my email address protected?

Yes. Any emails stored are “anonymized” (i.e. made anonymous).

As a Referred Customer, can Advocates see my personal information?

No. All Referred Customer data is hidden from Advocates.

Will I be subject to Marketing tactics?

You must “opt-in” (i.e. permit) at checkout or at account registration/sign-in before email or SMS is sent to you.

Can I manage my communication preferences?

Yes. You can view/adjust from the Communication Preferences page.

Is my activity tracked?

Cookies are used to help prevent fraud from occurring in the Referral Program.

How do the reviews work?

Users that are logged into the platform, can leave reviews on Listing pages to help others make better-informed decisions. 

As part of the reviews, users can upload images, give star-based ratings on individual areas of experience, as well as give an overall star-based rating.

Do Listings expire?

Your Listings are tied to a subscription, so as long as your Listing subscription is active, the LIstings tied to that subscription will be as well.

How do Listings get prioritized?

Listings that are Promoted will appear above all other Listings, regardless of the subscription level.

After that, Listings that are part of a Premium subscription (i.e. Featured) will appear above Standard and Basic Listings, assuming everything else is equal (ratings, published date, etc.).

Rounding out the bottom are Standard subscription Listings and then Basic.
